Well, I can say only one thing: Oh my gawd this picture is finally done <3 Well, it's the commission for =Reverbarance which I wanted to finish off weeks earlier, because it's been a month since she gave me the money :C I'm sorry for being a slowpoke, but somehow I wasn't able to draw Revi in a way I was satisfied with till last week when this idea popped up in my head when... I was at my grandma's beating the Pokémon League on Platin D:< The game =Reverbarance's commission money was spend in btw *cough* However... I am quite satisfied with this final version. I actually wanted to finish off the background before I went to =Chibi-Cosmo's place on Friday, but it didn't work and yeah, even inking that goddamn bg took me too long and made my parents mad~ But now I am done and they are no longer mad at me because I also finished all the other stuff I had to do in this house as well <3 Therefore... I can keep my tablett C: Now, back to the picture - first off: back to Revi. I actually know that her legs are a bit too long, but I kept it that way because I like it like this. She's actually staring at that bird in the upper left corner and is surprised? Maybe amazed? Hmm... I actually wanted to draw her amazed, but now it looks like... she's surprised *cough* however, I still like it :3 =Reverbarance told me I should draw her walking, maybe with a shopping bag and a city background and so I did. It's more like a park there, but well - I think it still counts as a city. Super weird background buildings ftw XD And... a weird bench with a proper perspective fail I guess orz. Nah... but at least it gives me a summer like feeling, which I had in the last days as well. But the last week was more like the usual "Gammelsommerwetter" we know too well in Germany, wasn't it? *drop* I actually don't know what to say more. The only thing that is really bugging me in this picture is the color of the grass. I tried out different tones, but I wasn't satisfied with one :/ This is actually the one I liked best. Hmm... actually the whole grass is bugging me - gotta do it better again next time orz And uh yeah, it also buggs me that I used tons of brushs for the background *drop* Nah... at least I think it looks good like this and drawing birds would've been a pain otherwise. Guess that's all for now, gotta start with the next picture soon which is waiting to be inked for some days now *glares to sketch* Hope you like it Revi <3 Reverbarance the Hedgehog © Artwork © You're not allowed to upload this picture to any other website or use it and claiming it as your own. -- Whoever said "The pen is mightier than the sword" has never tried to slay fearsome beasts using a pen. Sonic Interface, Sonic/fanchar RP - [link] Grandiose Arbeit, bravissimo!!
-- ~*~Truth can run but not hide! <3 Happiness is the best revenge <3 Ah, this picture is pretty good! I like her expression and the pigeons, they give the feeling that there is something going on in there.
And the background is very good, too; the fountain, the buildings, the bench, dirt and grass; they all fit so well. And it´s very detailed, as usual. How can you deal with all those tiny little details? xD -- Hey, if you heaps like Tetris, and would like to join Tetris friends, a site with great Tetris games, note me, and I´ll send you an invitation so we both get 100 tokens just for that. |

You have drawn Revi exactly the way she looks like, nothing is missing, I also must give out a compliment to the way how you draw hands, together with her pose it already supports the perspective, because even when she is just standing there, the parts of her body have movement as parts.
To impress with a normal life designed scene is really harder than with huge lights and impressing action perspective. As for the background, the scene is kept simple, when it's all about the main concept, but still you have taken effort in making these buildings and the way how it turns out realistic.
Fantastic job once again! It maybe doesn't seem like that, but "normal" drawing scenes can be harder than the ones full of action, because the wow-effect comes when everything fits, not with one single "effect-maker".
Still something to improve?
It's great exactly as it is, but maybe you still look for new things to try out, if so, I would also add these small ideas:
I see the music store Revi was in, still, except as for the sign, it looks like the other buildings, such a great music store could get even more attention with a music-based design and dance outta the row.
Next to the shine on windows and the normal stone in the fountain, you could maybe try a new experiment with structure brushes, something to give the grass and roads even more filled detail, for example (these are normally known as corn or point out brushes, just a small detail for showing more differences in the material).
As the last point I always give a review to the points above, when it's all about improvement: I noticed that one of the birds up there still has a little blue of the sky in it's back feathers, and the one sitting in the fountain hasn't a shadow supporting the light direction, but these are just two little mistakes, standing next to so many well done things.
